Speak-A-Thon Scheduled for Labor Day

 

Do you have a speech ready for the Speak-A-Thon?  If not, take paper and a pen, find a quiet spot, and get your creative juices flowing.  Come out on September 6 and Knock the club off of its feet with your presentations. 

The Speak-A-Thon is not a regular meeting.  There are no Table Topics and speakers evaluate each other because all speeches must be evaluated in the appropriate manual. There is no oral evaluation.  The purpose of the Speak-A-Thon is to allow all members an opportunity to complete outstanding manual projects needed for their educational goals.

 Peacetimers Contest

 

The club Humorous Speech and Table Topics Contest is scheduled for September 20. 

 

Any member who has completed at least 5 manual speeches is eligible to compete in the speech contest. To compete in the Table Topics contest, the only eligibility requirement is that the contestant be an active member in the club.  Hopefully, there will be at least three contestants for each contest.  Members will also be asked to participate as judges and to fill any other roles necessary for a successful contest.
